Financial Review
We can complete a review of support department expenses including facilities/plant operations, security, environmental services, and other departments based on facility needs. During this review we will address budgeting, planning, expense categorization (chart of accounts compliance), and a review with key vendors to ensure that we are current with submission and coding of all invoices thereby assisting in controlling late fees that might be assessed.
Operations Efficiencies
During a financial review it is common for us to be able to identify cost savings opportunities that can be implemented on a shared cost savings basis allowing the facility to directly benefit from specific savings achieved as a result of our work. In addition, we can evaluate possible staffing efficiencies and recommend specific plans for implementation. Again, these opportunities could include facilities/plant operations, security, environmental services, and other departments based on facility needs.
Metrics Development
How do you track the effectiveness of your physical plant’s performance? Through metrics. TRG can develop industry standard key performance Indicators (KPI) to help you track the efficiency of your physical plant. TRG can help establish metrics such as building performance indicators, maintenance resource ratios, and maintenance efficiency indicators. Additionally, TRG can assist or develop data capturing protocols to obtain the story your plant is telling.
Vendor Review
In all healthcare facilities, considerable expenses are attributed to outside vendors, partners, contractors, and suppliers. We can complete an assessment of these important sources of goods, services, and their related expense to ensure that we are allowing the facility to maximize outcomes while minimizing expenses associated with a large number of important goods and services.
Policies Review
In many facets of operations, actions and planning are governed by the facility’s policies. If these need a thorough review, we can do that work. Often accreditation deficiencies can be directly linked to policy gaps, practices being different than policy, and planning of necessary training can be based on policies that may or may not be geared toward delivering desired results. In one or many departments, this study can be crucial for success.
